Ian manages to find the Chipmunks and they're taken on a pleasant trip to Zurich until the chipmunks go crazy and dart around wildly. Alvin tries to raise money in a gumball machine but the machine rejects him. Then Simon can't find the stairwell and he flaps his wings and passes out.
The next morning, Alvin's and Theodore's personalities have been scrambled and they think that the house is haunted. Then they go to the tree house and see a vision of the goddess Athena; she gives them super powers so they can fight the evil gnomes. The chipmunks manage to escape Athena with their superpowers. After finding their way back to the hotel, they're nearly arrested by police for breaking windows. Once at the hotel, the Chipmunk's go to an auction in which they sell Simon's sock; they borrow a bunch of money and then try to retrieve their toys from the hotel. All of the toys have been taken away and Alvin and Theodore are sad because Simon did not make it out of the house.
Later, the Chipmunk's try to convince Dave to return just the objects from the auction, but they are rebuffed. Soon Jeanette comes back and is kidnapped. Dave and Ian go to Jeanette's rescue and their search leads them to the island where they're followed by the gnomes. As they approach the house, they see a vision of the goddess Athena and she tells them to stop the gnomes. They change into their superhero costumes and the gnomes can't stand it and destroy all the furniture. Finally, the gnomes are chased back by the Chipmunks into a cave. Everybody is asleep and the Chipmunks put the evil gnomes in the basement, where they'll stay for many years. d2c66b5586
