Still cracked and bleeding, Jaime doesn't recognise anyone at first, and claims he feels funny - but he recognizes Tyrion, who asks for him as a sword to die. Jaime replies, "There's a sweetness to the pain". Jaime tries to fight Tyrion and it appears the fight is uneven (Jaime is wounded), before he slashes Tyrion's helmet and kills him.
The queen is horrified and distraught over Jaime's death, and can't handle that the queen, or the Lannisters, were responsible. Jaime's bodyguard Bronn barges in, defiantly (though Bronn doesn't really like this). Jaime is startled and pulls out a dagger, but Bronn kills him. The queen is very saddened, and she burns his body. In revenge, Queen Cersei orders the city to riot, which it does, in ideological support of the Lannisters and the Tyrells (who support Jaime).
Riding through the streets, Cersei is in hysterics, dreaming of Jaime's murder. Jacquen H'ghar breaks into the queen's room and tries to kill her - but she grips on to H'ghar's cloak and pins him to the ground. In her state of hysteria, she hacks off his head, but when doing so she cuts off part of one of her ring fingers, also killing a small kitten. It hurts her, but she is glad she killed him, even though she didn't feel any joy in the act.
Jaime is gone - the city of King's Landing is angry, there are riots, and the streets are red with blood. Bronn, incredibly, blames Tyrion for this - of course, the man had no knowledge of this plot.
Birds fly overhead, and Ned stands on his balcony, thinking of Jaime. Catelyn and Robb are also affected by this, and they both cry as they come out of their homes to walk. Loras Tyrell feels sad for Robb, as well. d2c66b5586
