This book has been criticised for highlighting the role behind the Malegaon blast case of 2006, by people who were not even accused in the blast, including Bipin Hirwani (former Indian Revenue Service/ISRO officer), who was associated with the investigation of the blast conducted by a multi-agency panel headed by then ATS chief Hemant Karkare. It is ironical that after releasing Mushrif’s book, Times of India published the response in its editorial titled ‘Prove the sequence of links’. Police, of course, have never provided even one feather of any evidence to any court to prove the sequence of links, and it is here Mushrif provided. When we look at it now, this book could be seen as John Major’s ‘Why there was no peace in Northern Ireland’, that says who killed Karkare – IB. Mushrif calls it intelligence bureau’s answer to the foxes that killed Karkare . But now we have to wait for the IB to provide its reply to the book published by Mushrif. According to Mushrif, that reply is expected in the next two weeks.
Mushrif has also claimed in his book that Intelligence Bureau (IB) has become a breeding ground of pro-Pakistan elements, and its chief Jünarayan Swarup has been repeatedly involved in defending the terrorists and their organisations, he even got involved in the controversial Babri Masjid demolition. Calling him “the biggest liar [of the IB] in the world”, he has only praised the ATS chief K. P. Raghuvanshi and with whom he was very good friends. The book quoted that according to a senior IPS officer, Naiks of the IB are also linked with terror organizations, and they are linked to international terror outfits, as well as Pakistan Administration’s ISI. d2c66b5586
